Rockit Concert Series – Keith Masters Review
Rockit Bar & Grill Presents Rockit Concert Series Ft. Keith Masters was the first concert of their series. We had never actually set foot in a Rockit Bar so we didn’t know what type of atmosphere to expect. The top floor was interesting in decor & looked cozy for dining but a little interesting for a concert. The concert to start at 10 began at closer to 11 which was fine, but there wasn’t much of a crowd there. We personally felt bad, but people did not seem interested in really hearing a performing artist at ALL. We hope that this is something that will be taken into accountability next concert series as it was not much promotion, pre-introduction or crowd warm up though DJ I-ron was solid the 15 minutes he was on. Keith took the stage after his dj set up center side of the stage which was rather odd, the dj didn’t even have a table but he made it work (creativity at play). One turntable, one mixer & his laptop sitting on the stage floor, along with one keyboard player onstage doing auto tube through a tube & one songstress who happen to be barefooted? Keith Masters & his performers are promising & have a unique sound, however there was just no energy in the venue to feed off of at all to make it all amazing. We support you guys however & hope that your next performance in Chicago will have the crowd, attendance and energy you deserve. Thank you Rockit Bar & Keith Masters for inviting us to your show. Special thanks to Melissa!
